What is LH (Luteinizing Hormone)?

Measures LH, which triggers ovulation in women and stimulates testosterone production in men. The LH/FSH ratio is important for diagnosing PCOS.

Why is this test important?

LH surge triggers ovulation. LH/FSH ratio > 2:1 suggests PCOS. Low LH in both sexes may indicate pituitary dysfunction. Measured alongside FSH for complete picture.
