About LabTestUAE

The online booking service of MEDIC, a DHA-licensed polyclinic in Dubai — with prices, preparation rules and turnaround times visible before you book.

What LabTestUAE is

LabTestUAE is the online booking service of Medical Diagnostic and Imaging Centre Polyclinic (MEDIC), a Dubai Health Authority–licensed polyclinic. We put the test catalogue in one place, publish the price of each test up front, explain what the test measures and how to prepare for it, and let you book a home collection or a lab visit in a few steps.

Alongside the booking tools we publish a library of plain-language health content: guides to common conditions, explanations of what individual tests look at, and articles that put results in context. All of it is available in English and Arabic, because both languages are part of daily life here.

We currently serve Dubai and Sharjah: home sample collection anywhere in either emirate, or a visit to the licensed laboratory in Al Karama, Dubai or Al Nahda, Sharjah.

Who is responsible for your test

LabTestUAE is operated by MEDIC, a polyclinic licensed by the Dubai Health Authority (licence 0045588) and trading in Dubai since 1995. When you book here, MEDIC is the licensed health facility responsible for your booking and for the collection visit and the clinical staff who carry it out.

Samples are analysed by our partner laboratory, Lifenity Genomic Laboratory DMCC in Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT), Dubai (DMCC commercial licence 867782). Each report is authenticated by its specialist pathologist, Dr. Reena Bhaisare (Specialist – Clinical Pathology, DHA No. 06420338-001).

In Sharjah, home collection and lab visits run from the laboratory in Al Nahda, licensed by the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (licence 8788). Each emirate’s licence is issued by its own regulator, so we cite the one that applies where you are.

How the service works

  1. 1.Browse and compare

Search the catalogue by test name, by health condition, or by category. Every test page lists the price in dirhams, the sample type, whether fasting is required, and the expected turnaround time before you commit to anything.

  2. 2.Book online

Add tests to your cart, pick a time slot, and choose whether a healthcare professional comes to you or you visit one of the licensed labs. You pay by cash or card at your appointment, to the healthcare professional or at the lab.

  3. 3.Give your sample

For a home visit, a trained healthcare professional comes to the address you entered. For a lab visit, you go to the location you selected at the time you selected. Bring photo ID either way.

  4. 4.Receive your report

The laboratory that processed your sample produces and issues the report. You are notified when it is ready, and the report reaches you digitally.

Pricing you can see before you book

Every test lists its price in AED on its own page and in the cart. Home sample collection carries a flat fee of AED 150, waived when your order total reaches AED 1000. You pay by cash or card at your appointment, to the healthcare professional or at the lab — there is no charge for creating a booking and no fee hidden until the end.

Our health content and editorial policy

The condition guides, test explainers and blog articles on this site exist to help you walk into a consultation better informed — to understand what a doctor means by a lipid profile, why fasting matters for a glucose test, or what a body system does. They are written for a general audience, in both English and Arabic.

This content is educational, not medical advice

Nothing published here is a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a recommendation about your particular case. We do not know your history, your medications or your examination findings, and a web page cannot substitute for someone who does. Reading about a condition is not the same as being assessed for it.

If you have a symptom that worries you, a result you do not understand, or a decision to make about your health, take it to a licensed physician. If your symptoms are severe or getting worse quickly — chest pain, difficulty breathing, sudden weakness, heavy bleeding, confusion — do not wait for a lab test. Go to an emergency department or call the emergency services.

How we write it

  • Content is drafted from publicly available medical literature and guidance from recognised health bodies. Where a page draws on specific sources, those sources are listed on the page so you can read them yourself.
  • Condition guides show when they were last updated. Medicine moves, and a page with no date is a page you cannot judge.
  • Reference ranges shown for test parameters are typical ranges. The laboratory that runs your sample sets the ranges that apply to your report, and those can differ by method, by age and by sex. Always read your result against the range printed on your own report.
  • We do not publish content that promises a cure, discourages prescribed treatment, or claims a test can diagnose something it cannot.
  • Our AI assistant can help you find tests and explain general concepts. It does not interpret your results, it cannot diagnose you, and it is not a clinician. Treat its answers as a starting point for a conversation with your doctor.

Corrections

If you find something on this site that is inaccurate, out of date, or misleading, tell us and we will review it. Accuracy complaints go to the front of the queue — reach us through the contact page.

What we do not do

  • We do not diagnose. A test result is one input; a diagnosis is a clinical judgement made by a doctor who has examined you.
  • We do not interpret your individual results or tell you what to do about them. Take your report to your physician.
  • We do not prescribe, supply or recommend medication, supplements or treatments.
  • We do not sell your personal or health data. How we handle it is set out in our privacy policy.
  • We do not provide emergency or urgent care of any kind. Booking a test is never the right response to an emergency.
