What is LRP4 abs (IFT)?

The LRP4 antibodies test identifies specific antibodies targeting the LRP4 protein, which plays a crucial role in nerve-muscle communication. This test uses an Immunofluorescence Test (IFT) method for detection.

Why is this test important?

Detecting LRP4 antibodies is important for diagnosing a subtype of Myasthenia Gravis, a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disease causing muscle weakness. It helps differentiate this condition from other neuromuscular disorders and guides treatment.
