What is Phospholipid antibody IgG?

This test checks for IgG antibodies that mistakenly target phospholipids, which are fats essential for cell membranes and blood clotting. Detecting these antibodies helps understand if your immune system is overactive and attacking healthy tissues.

Why is this test important?

Elevated levels of phospholipid IgG antibodies are associated with Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS), an autoimmune disorder that can increase the risk of blood clots, recurrent miscarriages, and other complications. It aids in diagnosing and managing this condition.
