What is Homocysteine?

Measures homocysteine, an amino acid linked to cardiovascular disease risk when elevated. High levels damage blood vessel walls and promote blood clots.

Why is this test important?

Elevated homocysteine is an independent cardiovascular risk factor. Often caused by deficiency in vitamin B12, folate, or B6. Responds well to B-vitamin supplementation.

How to Prepare
