HIRSUTISM EVALUATION PANEL
The Hirsutism Evaluation Panel is a group of blood tests designed to investigate the cause of hirsutism, which is excessive hair growth in women in areas where men typically grow hair. It helps identify underlying hormonal imbalances that contribute to this condition.
Histamine
The Histamine blood test measures the level of histamine, a chemical released by the body during allergic reactions and inflammatory responses. It plays a key role in the immune system, regulating various bodily functions.
HOMA-IR
The HOMA-IR test estimates your body's insulin resistance, which is how well your cells respond to insulin. It helps understand if your body is struggling to use insulin effectively to manage blood sugar levels.
HTLV I & II ANTIBODIES
This test detects antibodies to Human T-lymphotropic Virus types I and II (HTLV-I and HTLV-II) in your blood. Antibodies are proteins produced by your immune system to fight off infections, and their presence indicates exposure to the virus.
IMMUNOFIXATION ELECTROPHORESIS
This test helps identify and characterize abnormal proteins, called monoclonal proteins or M-proteins, in your blood. These proteins are produced by a type of white blood cell called plasma cells and can indicate certain blood disorders.
IMMUNOFIXATION ELECTROPHORESIS, CSF
This test examines your cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) for abnormal proteins, including monoclonal proteins or oligoclonal bands. These proteins can indicate inflammation or immune system activity within the central nervous system.
Infliximab level and Infliximab Antibody
This blood test measures two key aspects: the concentration of the medication Infliximab in your system and whether your body has developed antibodies against it. Infliximab is a biologic drug used to treat various autoimmune diseases.
INFLUENZA VIRUS A IgG
This blood test measures IgG antibodies to Influenza A virus, indicating a past infection or vaccination, rather than a current active illness. IgG antibodies develop over time and provide long-term immunity.
INFLUENZA VIRUS A IgM
IgM antibodies are typically the first type of antibody produced by the body in response to an acute infection, like Influenza A. This test helps determine if you have a recent or active infection with Influenza A virus.
INFLUENZA VIRUS B IgG
IgG antibodies are produced later in an infection and can persist for a long time, indicating past exposure or immunity to Influenza B virus. This test helps assess if you've had a previous infection or developed immunity.
INFLUENZA VIRUS B IgM
This test detects IgM antibodies specific to Influenza B virus, which are typically present during the early stages of an active infection. It helps identify a recent or ongoing infection with Influenza B.
Insulin (Fasting)
Measures fasting insulin levels to evaluate insulin resistance, a key factor in type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and PCOS.
