What is INDIRECT COOMBS TEST?

The Indirect Coombs Test is a blood test that screens for antibodies in your bloodstream that could potentially react against red blood cells. It helps identify these antibodies before they cause issues.

Why is this test important?

This test is vital for ensuring safe blood transfusions by preventing reactions and is also used during pregnancy to detect antibodies that might harm the baby (Rh incompatibility). Additionally, it helps investigate certain types of autoimmune hemolytic anemia.
