What is Haemoglobin-Free Urine Spot?

This urine test checks for the presence of hemoglobin, a protein normally found in red blood cells, in your urine. Hemoglobin should not be present in urine, and its detection can signal underlying health issues.

Why is this test important?

Finding hemoglobin in urine (hemoglobinuria) can indicate conditions like kidney damage, urinary tract infections, or disorders causing red blood cell breakdown in the body. It helps in diagnosing and monitoring these conditions.

It depends on the test. Tests like lipid profile and fasting blood sugar require 10-12 hours of fasting. Tests like CBC, vitamin D, and thyroid do not require fasting. Each test page on our website clearly states the fasting requirements.
