What is 24 Hrs Urinary Vanillyl Mandelic Acid (VMA)?

This test measures the amount of Vanillyl Mandelic Acid (VMA) excreted in your urine over a 24-hour period. VMA is a breakdown product of certain hormones (catecholamines) produced by the adrenal glands.

Why is this test important?
