What is Triple Marker?

The Triple Marker test is a prenatal screening test offered to pregnant women. It measures the levels of three specific substances in the mother's blood to assess potential risks for certain fetal conditions.

Why is this test important?

This test screens for an increased risk of chromosomal abnormalities, such as Down syndrome, and neural tube defects in the developing fetus. It is a screening tool, and abnormal results may indicate the need for further diagnostic testing.

It depends on the test. Tests like lipid profile and fasting blood sugar require 10-12 hours of fasting. Tests like CBC, vitamin D, and thyroid do not require fasting. Each test page on our website clearly states the fasting requirements.

Most routine tests have results within 24-48 hours. Some specialized tests take longer. Each test page shows its expected turnaround time, and we will let you know when your report is ready.
