What is Random Blood Sugar (RBS)?

Measures blood glucose at any time regardless of when you last ate. A quick screening test for diabetes when fasting is not possible.

Why is this test important?

A random blood sugar of 200 mg/dL or higher with diabetes symptoms suggests diabetes. Not as precise as fasting glucose or HbA1c but useful for urgent screening.
