What is HIV I and II Antibodies with P24?

This advanced screening test detects both antibodies to HIV-1 and HIV-2, as well as the p24 antigen. Detecting the p24 antigen allows for earlier detection of HIV infection, often before antibodies are fully formed.

Why is this test important?

This combination test is highly effective for early diagnosis of HIV infection, reducing the "window period" when the virus might not be detectable. It's used for initial screening and confirmation of HIV status.
